Altova, maker of XML, UML and Web services tools, has updated its product line with support for the Office 2007 Open XML document format and for the IBM DB2 9 pureXML database. Category: Developer Life Cycle Tools Among the products in the new suite from 9Rays.Net is a component for extracting text in the .NET development environment. Version 3.0 of this tool features code analysis for C#, VB. NET and ASP.NET support, cross-language functionality between C# and VB.NET, and support for the XML and XAML data types. With its new Compuware Optimal and Optimal Delivery Manager, Compuware makes business requirements the basis of software development and gives IT managers a clear view into the development and delivery of applications. Category: Tools and Platforms Network Automation's AutoMate BPA Server includes tools for the drag-and-drop development of workflow tasks and the larger workflows in which those tasks appear. Category: Components and Controls The company has released .NET Dashboard Suite 3.0, which is fully compatible with the .NET Framework 2.0. Within the suite is an updated instrumentation kit.
